Our new Ebsco Collection Manager allows faculty to browse from all available ebooks, including many textbooks, and request to add those books to our CCOL Online Library Collection. The books can then be linked through MyCC, and all students will have access.

Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design for Learning [UDL] is a research-based teaching framework drawing from the fields of neuroscience, the learning sciences, and cognitive psychology. It emphasizes providing learners with choices. In a course built around the principles of UDL, instructors provide multiple means of engaging learners and representing content, and they allow students multiple ways to demonstrate their learning.

The Understanding by Design® framework (UbD™ framework) offers a planning process and structure to guide curriculum, assessment, and instruction. Its two key ideas are contained in the title: 1) focus on teaching and assessing for understanding and learning transfer, and 2) design curriculum “backward” from those ends.1
